i don't feel like i can relate to other people who sit down and write, like, stories, poems, novels. i do that, but i can't relate to other people who do... i can understand the impulse of writing an essay, or an opinion piece, wanting to prove some point or get someone to see things from your point of view. but the other things... the other way seems like a confusing way to spend your time. like you're proving the point to yourself. and how do you know when you're done?
